Kizinga Fleming is the Office Manager at New Life. He has an appreciation for organization and a passion to support leaders in their mission to point people to a deep, personal relationship with Jesus. Though Kizinga received a BFA in Communications and was formally an aspiring film editor, he has relegated media arts to a hobby and aspires to an MA in Social Work to help people discover emotionally healthy spirituality. He enjoys paintball skirmishes, cooking, laughing, men’s fellowship, and the occasional video game. Kizinga and his wife Roshan reside in Jackson Heights with their charming son, Adericio.

One of Julie Youngha Whang’s first encounters with New Life was the New Year’s Eve Bash of 2008. At the time she was living in China, first working with special needs orphans, and then was a staff member at a church in Beijing where she also met her fiancé, Daniel. Growing up in Roslyn, NY, Julie pursued a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and a master’s in Public Administration. After living in China for four years, Julie moved back to New York in the summer of 2010 and was excited to become a part of the “emotionally healthy dancing church.” In her spare time, she enjoys fresh air, Home & Garden TV, spending time with loved ones, and linzer cookies.

Victoria Kolsch was born in Bogota, Colombia. She moved to the United States in 1993. She lived in Queens for 14 years before recently moving to Long Island, NY. She received an associate degree in Dental Technology, but God changed her career, and she started working as New Life Fellowship’s Bookkeeper since 2003. She is married to Jeff Kolsch, Director of the New Life Food & Clothing Pantry. They have two children, Kimberly and David. Victoria is passionate about Christ, and it gives her great joy to be able to contribute even in an unseen position, like bookkeeping, to bring help to the needy and to give hope to the lost. She would like to know that she made a difference in someone’s life by bringing the hope that Christ gives.

David Duplessie, our Building Manager, came to us after volunteering many Saturdays and evenings either working on the building with Russ Nitchman, our former volunteer Building Manager or Gay Watson, our former Design Committee Chair. Dave became acquainted with the inner workings of our historical building during this time. Dave oversees almost every aspect of New Life’s building and campus, top to bottom and front to back. An architecture buff, Dave has researched much about the history of our home, the former Queensborough Elks’ Lodge. Dave has a photography background so he often sees many intricacies visitors may overlook (one can find some of work on Facebook).Dave is a native of Maine having lived in New York City for 15 years. Many fall weekends you will find him traveling upstate to enjoy deer hunting with friends.

Fatima_Gomes

Fatima Gomes is an Administrative Assistant at New Life Fellowship where she has been on staff practically since the church’s inception. Although this was not the route she envisaged coming here from India in 1986, she has no regrets serving the Lord at New Life in the many capacities she’s had the privilege of filling since then. Although her main responsibilities are office administration and coordinator of Sunday Operations, her passion is people and ministering to the Body of Christ, especially the hurting. She is also a volunteer leader for Emotionally Healthy Spirituality small groups and is part of the marriage coaching team. Fatima is practically a stone’s throw away from New Life in diverse downtown Elmhurst that houses people from around 115 nations and, when she has downtime, she thoroughly enjoys reading, swimming and going to the beach, weather permitting.
