Pastor of Worship

Peter Rohdin grew up in church and surrendered his life to Jesus as a preteen. Peter’s two passions growing up were pursuing his relationship with God and music. After High School, he moved from Maine to New York to study music at Nyack College. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Peter taught music in the public school system and played in several local Christian bands. During this time, he longed to experience the same “body life” in the church as he found in the twelve-step groups he had been attending. God answered that prayer when a friend introduced him to New Life Fellowship in 1989. For several years, Peter was the worship team’s bass player.  He served as an intern with the church for two-years, married his wife Myrna and joined the church staff in 1992. He’s still pursuing the two passions of God and music through serving as pastor over Worship.

Pastor of Children

Linda_Johnson

Unlike most of her colleagues, Linda Johnson came to the Lord later in life, as the mother of small children well over two decades ago. A Queens native (!!!) she got to know the bible as a new believer while teaching her own small children what she was learning, making a lasting impact and informing her approach to ministry even today.  Linda has been on staff at New Life for the past 10 years, after being a long time children’s ministry volunteer and a 25+ year career in training and non-profit organizations. This ministry appointment came as a complete surprise (which she turned down at first!).

As a wife, mom and now, Grandma, Linda welcomes any opportunity to crawl around on the floor with kids and be silly, while expressing her deep passions for worship and teaching the Word. Fun time includes dancing, swimming, biking, gardening and whatever else her creaky body still allows her to do!

Pastor of Youth

Mike_Park

emailButtonfacebook_buttonstwitter_buttonsblog_buttons

Mike Park serves as Pastor of Youth and College-Age ministries at New Life Fellowship.  A southern California transplant, Mike is a big sports fan (especially the Dodgers, Lakers, and Cal Bears), enjoys all kinds of dancing, and will travel far and wide for great pizza or tacos.  He’s a graduate of UC Berkeley (B.A. ‘01) and Fuller Theological Seminary (M. Div. ‘06) and was a youth pastor in California before coming to New Life.  Mike loves being around people who have a passion for youth and also those who can give him a good trivia challenge.
