“A good relationship is based on mutual respect and a relatively equal balance of power. It involves concern for and sensitivity to each other’s feelings and needs, as well as an appreciation of the things that make each partner so special. Within this idea, there is room for arguments, bad moods, differences of opinion, even anger. However, loving partners find effective ways of dealing with their differences; they do not view each encounter as a battle to be won or lost.”

We are passionate for marriages at New Life Fellowship Church. We believe that marriage between one male and one female is a covenantal relationship that points to our ultimate marriage between Christ and His bride, the church. God’s intention is that, at the heart of our spiritual formation, we get equipped to love as He loves – freely, totally, faithfully and fruitfully. We affirm that “The dignity and balance of human life depend at every moment of history and at every point on the globe on who woman will be for man and who man will be for woman… The union of man and woman builds and shapes families, families shape neighborhoods, neighborhoods shape communities, communities shape cities, cities shape states, states shape nations, nations shape world. When the marital union breaks down, eventually so does everything resting on it” (John Paul II).
God created the marriage relationship, one male and one female, to reflect the reciprocal love that exists between the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God also intended that earthly marriage model the holy, exclusive, permanent and life-giving intimacy that will one-day characterize the union of Christ with His bride, the Church (Ephesians 5:21-32).
The Marriage Ministry desires to build high-quality marriages in our multicultural context through: educational workshops, seminars, resources, mentoring, and small groups.
We aim to transform marriages that impact families for generations. We do this through equipping couples, through the integration of Scripture and emotionally healthy skills, to experience God’s design for a purposeful, joyful and intimate marriage.
We are also committed to developing highly trained marriage coaches who will teach, mentor and lead others out of their brokenness and authenticity.
